Welcome

Archway Veterinary Surgery at 21 High Street in Highworth is a small and friendly Veterinary surgery with facilities and equipment to rival those of many of the larger veterinary hospitals.  The practice is now one of the longest established businesses in the High Street and we will celebrate our 25th anniversary in 2007.  The premises are approved by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons under their standards scheme for veterinary surgeries and we are also an approved nurse training centre with an excellent record of examination successes.  We hold the Investors in People Award and all staff regularly attend courses and conferences to keep up to date.

Archway Veterinary Surgery is a BSAVA registered and inspected veterinary practice providing care for small animals. All consultations except for emergencies are by appointment. At Archway Veterinary Surgery it is our stated aim...

  • To consider each animal as an individual and to provide the best possible care
  • To provide a sympathetic, caring and courteous service to every client
  • To ensure that we charge a fair fee affordable to the great majority of our clients
  • We also undertake to keep our knowledge up to date. All staff attend courses, meetings and conferences on a regular basis. At the broadest level it is our aim to provide a first class general practice to care for all your pets' needs.

We are a BSAVA Registered Practice

Archway Veterinary Surgery is registered and inspected as meeting the standard for small animal practice by the British Small Animal Veterinary Association. We have achieved Investors in People and are a RCVS Inspected Tier 2 practice.

Highly qualified nurses

Archway Veterinary Surgery has a team of highly qualified nurses. We are recognised by the Royal Colllege of Veterinary Surgeons as a training centre for veterinary nurses. Currently we have three qualified nurses, two trainee nurses and one receptionist.

Our nurses assist with the care of your pets while they are hospitalised. They are responsible for the monitoring of anaesthetics and for performing routine blood tests and X-rays. Each nurse has her own area of responsibiity which relates to a special interest, for example, puppy parties, slimming clinics, and radiography.
